How Women and Girls Choose to Exercise

This project explores the different ways women and girls choose to be active and the factors that influence those choices. It considers issues such as cost, time, transport and access to suitable facilities, while also looking at how exercise can support physical and mental wellbeing. The research found that walking was the most common form of activity and that practical barriers can limit how often women and girls are able to exercise.
