Our Project Partners

The University of Southampton is a research-intensive university committed to working with communities and involving the public in research. Through Made in Millbrook, University researchers have worked alongside local residents and community partners to explore the area’s heritage, identity and future.
The Southampton Institute for Arts and Humanities supports collaborative research that uses art, culture and creativity to engage with public life. Its support for Made in Millbrook has helped bring together academic research, community knowledge and creative practice.
Testlands is a Southampton charity supporting children, families and communities through youth work, wellbeing programmes and welcoming local spaces. Its support helped Made in Millbrook remain closely connected to residents and community life in the area.
Southern Creative Communities CIC supports community organisations through strategy, fundraising and creative project delivery. Its role in Made in Millbrook included project coordination, community engagement, photography, archive digitisation and the presentation of the project’s research and creative outputs.
Southampton Archives preserves records, photographs, maps and plans documenting the history of the city and its communities. Its collections provided vital source material for Made in Millbrook, helping participants explore how the area was planned, built and changed over time.
All Saints’ and St Peter’s serve communities across Millbrook, Maybush and the surrounding area. All Saints’ Church Hall provided an important local setting for Made in Millbrook activities, helping the project connect with residents and established community groups.
